I have been photographing for more than 30 years, since my Dad gave me a World War II era Argus C3 rangefinder camera. While I enjoy capturing obvious beauty - a flower, a seascape - I am also drawn to photographing ordinary objects and views and simplifying them further into high contrast black and white. For me this represents the clean lines in art and the simplicity and ease in life that I appreciate more as time passes. This simplicity includes paring down of material objects and spending the limited, precious time we are given on meaningful activities with meaningful people.

In High School I took every photography course offered. I bought a vintage enlarger and worked in my basement darkroom developing black and white, gelatin silver prints from my 35mm negatives. I was a National Scholastic Art Awards Portfolio Nominee and was a recipient of the Regional Scholastic Gold Key Award.

I majored in Art in college to prepare for a career as a fine art photographer, but switched paths and earned a Master of Science in Health Services Administration instead, working in hospitals in Georgia, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts before returning to my passion.

My work is in private collections around the world and has been included in the following exhibitions: fPOE Group Show - Janice Mason Art Museum, Cadiz, KY, October 2016; All Cape Cod - Cape Cod Art Association, Barnstable, MA, May - June 2014; Inspirations - Cape Cod Art Association, Barnstable, MA, February - March, 2014; Points of View - Cape Cod Art Association, Barnstable, MA, June-July 2013; Photography Exhibit - Arts Alliance, Hudson MA, November - January 2012; Ghosts, Spirits & Past Lives - Arts Alliance, Hudson, MA, September - November 2012; Points of View – Cape Cod Art Association, Barnstable, MA, June 2012; Birds and Nests – Mariposa Art Gallery, East Sandwich, MA, October 2011; Artists of Madison County – Juried - Stone Quarry Hill Art Park, Cazenovia, NY, September – October 2010; Solo Exhibition - Common Grounds, Cazenovia, NY, November 2005.
