Michelle McCloskey Collins

Artist Michelle McCloskey Collins draws her inspiration from the elements and human nature to create her expressive paintings. The works are dancing with colour, energy, emotion, shape & movement. Creating these colour - plays on what she feels - symbolize the souls Journey. She is drawn to Abstract Painting because of the fact that it is Boundless. Sings of creativity and ignites the imagination. Abstract Art feels Like Music to her. It can “go anywhere” she says. The viewer can see themselves in the works and experience their own emotions. Create their own Story, arriving at their own conclusion, using their own Imagination.
McCloskey Collins is a largely self-taught artist and has definitely graduated from the University of life (with honours) and on an academic level has studied Art, Design, Pottery & Photography at Bray Institute of Further Education, the Escola D'Arts i Superior De Dissney De Valencia.
Michelle has always had a passion for painting, but it became very clear that she loved the Arts when she was Director and Area Manageress of Athena Galleries. Viewing prints and posters on a daily basis from Picasso to Piet Mondrain, from Jackson Pollock to Renoir, from Hilma Af Klint etc. Photographers Ansel Adams, Robert Doisneau, Annie Leibovitz and many more...
Maintaining this passion, she moved on to explore Designing Ladies Clothing & Textiles. She had her first Shop in Grafton St Dublin at the tender age of 25 and also worked for many years designing and manufacturing under her own label before moving to Javea Spain where she now runs her own Studio Gallery.
