As a teenager I wanted to be a fashion designer. At nineteen I applied for fashion school and got rejected. I didn't fit the profile, too much of a hippy! So I went to live in a very small town where my boyfriend could get work shoeing horses! I finally went to art school in my forties to learn pattern drafting. While I was there, I fell in love with surface design. I love colour and texture and nature and being outdoors. I'm inspired by my garden, and the lake and mountains which surround me, and the wonderful people of my home town.
