Apayu is a Yup'ik artist from Bristol Bay. She creates art that is centered around the way of life in the region. Her mission is to share the best parts of the Yup'ik lifestyle through art. She hashtags Instagram, #InspiredByBristolBay and is an activist that advocates for social justice, indigenous rights and the denial of mining at the headwaters of Alaska's waterways. She loves a good high five, kids running around and playing, beautiful landscapes and eating traditional native foods.
