The painterly effect in the detail of this digital artwork comes from the artist’s own fingerprints. Kristin Doner scans hand gestures, capturing a variety of detail. Interesting shapes from the scans are then collaged together to create compositions. This work evolved after having worked with clay for many years while simultaneously pursuing a graphic arts career.
